How the click speed test works
Pick a length at the top, then click inside the box as fast as you can. The timer begins on your first click, so there's no rush to start. When time runs out you get your clicks per second, a rank and — if you beat it — a new personal best for that length. Short tests measure burst speed; 30 and 60 second tests measure stamina.

| 10–12 | Falcon 🦅 |
| 12+ | Lightning ⚡ |
Clicking techniques
- Regular clicking: one finger, wrist relaxed. Most people reach 5–8 CPS.
- Jitter clicking: tensing the forearm so the hand vibrates over the button. 10–14 CPS, but tiring — take breaks.
- Butterfly clicking: alternating two fingers on the same button. 15–25 CPS on mice that register it.
- Drag clicking: sliding a finger across the button so friction makes it bounce. Can exceed 30 CPS on the right mouse.
Fast techniques put strain on your hand and wrist. Warm up, stop if anything hurts, and don't do long sessions.
Is my mouse limiting my score?
Some mice have a built-in debounce delay that ignores very fast repeat clicks, which caps butterfly and drag clicking. Others register a single press twice — which inflates CPS but means the switch is faulty. Check for that with the mouse test, which flags double-clicks that are faster than humanly possible.

Frequently asked questions
What is a CPS test?
CPS means clicks per second. The test counts how many times you click in a set time — 1, 5, 10, 30, 60 or 100 seconds — and divides by the time. It’s popular with Minecraft PvP players and anyone checking their clicking speed or a new mouse.
What is a good CPS score?
Most people click 5–7 times per second with normal clicking. 8–10 CPS is fast, and above 10 usually needs a technique like jitter or butterfly clicking. Over longer tests scores drop, so compare results at the same duration.
What is the world record for clicks per second?
Records depend on the technique and test length. With butterfly or drag clicking, people reach well over 20 CPS in short tests, but these techniques can trigger anti-cheat systems on some game servers.
Does it work on phones?
Yes — tap the box instead of clicking. Tapping with two fingers alternately is much faster than one.
Is my best score saved?
Yes. Your best score for each test length and your last results are stored in your own browser, so they are still there next time on the same device. Nothing is uploaded.
